Liberal Trudeau government Canadian federal budget 2018

Social justice is the absence of injustices against individuals in society.

But social justice is also a Liberal brand that powerfully connects citizens to the Liberal government, via superficial and institutionally manufactured "good person" self-identity.

The gravy train is back with the latest federal budget. Canned high-impact Liberal social justice programs have hit the jackpot. In particular, Blackness will be prominently (and willingly) exploited.

Maybe it will work better than the aboriginal Liberal-image flop?

So... the police, CSIS, immigration, CAS, family court, lawyers... will continue as usual but elite Liberal image providers will manage program funds.

Academic Freedom? - Michael Ignatieff is pathetic

Failed politicians never die. They become embassy ambassadors and university presidents. After Michael Ignatieff crashed the Liberal Party of Canada he returned to Harvard University, was given an Order of Canada by Trudeau, and became president of the Soros-funded Central European University in Hungary. Hungary wants the Soros cancer out but globalist Ignatieff is screaming "academic freedom".

What many commentators fail to understand is that: (1) "institutional independence" of universities is a myth, and (2) even ideal "institutional independence" is a distinct concept from "academic freedom". "Institutional independence" is falsely cast as "academic freedom" by university bosses but is really just an argument to be free of public oversight. Whereas "academic freedom" is the individual freedom of expression and inquiry of students and academics, which needs to be protected against both institutional and state controls so that the individual researcher can pursue uncomfortable truths and social influence.

At the perverse highest level "academic freedom" itself is a myth and is really just a legalistic device to prevent meaningful political or social engagement of professors (see the history of academic freedom, as surveyed by Schrecker in her book "No Ivory Tower").

Today's national news: Canada will lead a new NATO battlegroup against Russia!

Happy Canada Day! (today's news!)

Liberal Canada is more war mongering than was Harper. Selling arms to Saudi Arabia despite an election campaign message of change and of peace keeping, and now threatening Russia in order to satisfy insane US geopolitical machinations. Systematically gutting its own economy in order to become an arms dealership for the US-allied war machine.

Russia is not my enemy. Nation-destroying war-mongering Canadian politicians are my enemy. Russia is doing everything it can to bring peace, respect, and global collaboration. The US-NATO plan in Europe is a megalomaniac plan of a war-hungry empire losing its absolute dominance in the face of Russia-China (BRICS) emergence, in the face of its loss of influence in the Middle East, and in the face of EU pains that may see Europe start to stand up for its people.

If we Canadians don't wake up soon from our pretty-face Trudeau daydream, we are going to miss being truly part of the new multi-polar world, and we will have a lot more blood on our hands as the US goes mad from decline. The US's only industry is war and corporate takeovers. Is that really what Canadians want? Fellow Canadians, please stand against failure and destruction.

The lie in Canada's Syrian refugee show

REGARDING CANADA'S SYRIAN REFUGEE POLICY, an aspect which is egregiously avoided and covered up is the geopolitical dimension and motives for receiving refugees preferentially from Syria (and other specific conflict areas).

The government is not doing this primarily to satisfy its international humanitarian obligations.

Syria under Assad is a target of vicious US-Canada-NATO-Israel aggression (both direct and by proxy) that will continue even if Syria survives for-now thanks to the Russian coalition. In this context, as always, the Syrian refugees in Canada will be used as instruments: as "witnesses" pressured by many spoken and unspoken means to be critical of Assad, to not be critical of NATO, to serve as media sources in the latter, to be spies and informants, to facilitate manipulations in Syria, etc.! This ugly dimension of refugee politics is simply not ever mentioned.

Likewise, the PR message in the very act of receiving Syrian refugees is that we are saving the refugees from the crimes of our enemies, not from our own crimes. Otherwise our (Canada's) show of generosity would be both absurd and disingenuous..., which it is! Indeed, the government and media are remarkably silent about the 26,000 other refugees that arrive in Canada every year.

The whole Syrian refugee media and political campaign is largely a manipulation made to advance the domestic and allied illusion of a benevolent Canada that is not participating in continuous war crimes of the US and Israel, and it's wonderful for the Liberal voter base. But the actual crimes cannot go unnoticed by the targets of those crimes, and by those of us who are paying attention. Disgusting.

Canadians, before you vote, remember the Liberals

There is no point replacing Harper with a brainless twit who will continue to drive Canada in the same direction. Trudeau is no Trudeau, when it comes to Canadian independence and fundamental values.

Trudeau is the continuation of the new Liberal line: Paul Martin, Stéphane Dion, Michael Ignatieff ...

Martin destroyed the party by infighting to veer the country clearly towards US interests and increased integration into US geopolitical designs. Dion was a lame attempt to present a facade of reason, without any correction of direction. Ignatieff was a pathetic Harvard boy brought in like a hand puppet to manage the Martin take-over.

Canadians soundly and rightly rejected the Harvard boy. That would have been too much. But the boys in charge are clearly the same with Trudeau. Trudeau is pro-war, pro-Bill C-51, pro-integration with US foreign policy of destruction and intimidation, pro-foreign-owned capital and corporations setting the rules, and so-on.

Trudeau's entire strategy is to maneuver into your vote. There is no principle, no direction, no plan to make Canada work for Canadians, nothing other than photo ops, double messages, superficial posturing, and middle-class bribes that will dissolve quickly if they are ever implemented for the sake of short-term political advantage.

The Liberal party is a has-been for good reason. It no longer deserves the trust of Canadians.

There are still 30 (of 105) Liberal Senators. What have they done to oppose Harper's selling of Canada to US oil interests and US military adventures? I haven't heard a beep out of them. They know the workings of the system, yet they have not spoken to public opinion.

If you know a candidate in your riding and trust that candidate then vote for him or her. Otherwise, if you are looking to the party leaders and to the party history for change towards a strong and independent Canada that works for Canadians, then abandon the Liberals and vote strategically to not split the vote.

The NDP is far from perfect and far from uncorrupted by corporate influence, but it might find a desire and a backbone, given electoral power, to give Canada back to Canadians, all Canadians. It could bring us back towards some sovereignty and away from US criminality.

Canada needs the world, and could be respected by the wold, if it moved away from the self-destruction of having only the US and Israel as allies.

A new world is emerging, with a strong Russia-China-India alliance that cannot be intimidated. Canada and Europe can work together to talk some sense into the US-Israel desperate madness of domination by force, while preserving its sovereignty for Canadians, all Canadians.

Don't vote Liberal. That would give a very predictable and bad outcome. Vote for a chance at a better model and a better future.
